Rømer Delivers New Destination Strategy for VisitAalborg

SEPTEMBER 2016: The city of Aalborg can grow tourism with 25% and create more than 1.000 new jobs with a new destination strategy introducing 7 new strategic growth projects for the city. Aalborg is about to take lead on smart tourism and will strengthen it’s sales in the international meetings and conventions market. In addition, Visit Aalborg sets out to create a new brand story about  Aalborg as a city in transformation from old industrial culture to new culture industry. Rømer Agency has helped VisitAalborg conceive the new strategy through a proces that involved extensive desk research, trend analysis, and dialogue with more than 330 stakeholders in workshops, deep conversations and an interview survey. Rømer to Produce Agenda Events for European Cities Marketing

JULY 2016; After conceiving two very successful agenda conferences for European Cities Marketing on Democratic City Branding (Madrid, February 2016) and Sharing Economy (Madeira, June 2016), Peter Rømer has been assigned by ECM to produce a new series of conferences and summer summits for 2017. Rømer Delivers Strategic Master Plan for VisitSydsjælland

SEPTEMBER 2015: After a series of intensive workshops with executive management, Rømer Agency delivered a 5-year master plan to the newly established VisitSydsjælland – a destination management company owned by four local municipalities making up the southern part of the Zealand region. With the clear ambition to grow the region’s tourism volume by 30 %, the master plan also calls for a holistic perspective on tourism as an economic and cultural leverage the entire community. By widening the scope and mission of the new DMO, the master plan lays out a roadmap for the region to pursue private investments, destination innovation projects, regional alliances and much more. Rømer Assigned as External Expert for the EU-Commission

AUGUST 2015: Peter Rømer has been assigned as external expert for the EU-Commission and contracted to asses the proposals for EASME’s (DG GROW) call for projects under the COSTOUR program 2014-2020.
